Can you eat good fats like sardines and avocados? Can you eat olive oil?
Not all fats are equal. Good fats are healthy, bad fats are not.
After being overweight all of my life, I stopped eating a low fat diet and started eating healthy fats, good proteins, all the non-strarchy vegetables I could and a moderate amount of starchy vegetable and fruits. I avoid sugar an proceed food.
Over a 5 year period I oat 50 pounds, but I don’t have the continuous feeling of hunger I had for years on a low fat diet. I do have occasional treats but for the most part, they just don’t taste good to me anymore.

I probably could eat them but the desire is gone except for potato chips and popcorn. I even avoid salad dressings. Its psychological from the trauma of being hospitalized for a week due to gallstones and pancreatitis. I get some fats from low fat cheeses and some dairy products but I have to force myself to include those in daily diet.
