Tatoo wearers get them to make some kind of statement. They want the attention in order to impress in a way that they feel they otherwise are incapable of. Hey, look at me, I’m...(fill in the blank)

Why else would anyone subject themselves to the pain? They’re getting something out of it. Some insecurity issues going on? However, they certainly are adept at justifying it, and I would be too if I ever felt I needed to decorate my body.

Men with all over tattoos, especially on the face and neck should be shot on sight by police or anyone armed. Those who get those tats for style or to be cool should know they are playing with gangster fire and too bad for them.

If you see a Tattoo on a Gal that says “minimum deposit required” across her lower Back, don’t assume she is a Banker.

www.thesmokinggun.com

On menubar, click ‘mugshots’
At left, ‘categories’ include tatoos— and other stupid criminal stuff.

Hours of fun.

Tattoos bother me not nearly as much as all the facial piercings I see.

Do not ask about the ear lobe stretching thing with big hoops.

I don't agree...with that.

And I don't have any tats..except one from God. A birth mark of a fish...on my thigh.

I’ve noticed a trend with women getting more and more tats. A lot of them quite attractive (women not tats). And we’re not talking about cute little strawberries or butterflies, discreetly located, but full body tats; sleeves, and I don’t know what all else they’re called.

My opinion, and it’s just my opinion on the matter, is that ink on a beautiful woman, or any woman really, is like graffiti on a work of art.

Growing up, I remember seeing men that had served in WWII and Korea who had gotten tats when they were young and the skin was clean and tight. By the time I saw their ink, time and life had done its deed.

Skin ages, ink migrates... the ravages of time and life take their toll and you’re left with an un recognizable muddled mess. The more intricate the tat the uglier the mess.

In this day and age I’m sure I’ll be castigated for such un PC thoughts. Don’t care.

The Yakuza in Japan are big on tattoos. There is a museum in Tokyo where some of the best are on display. Give that a bit of thought for a moment...Here are some pictures...

When I was looking to buy my first house I did a search to see if any sex offenders lived nearby as I had a young son. I was surprised how many there were in any given neighborhood. But what I found to be telling is that all of the sex offenders had tattoos. All of them. That’s not to say that everyone with a tattoo is a sex offender of course. But I have to wonder why people find it necessary to speak their minds or display their likes and dislikes on their bodies in such a permanent way. Can’t someone just carry on a conversation without putting ink in his body? Skin is such a beautiful organ. Why mess it up? Especially women. It’s just gross.

I saw a young woman with a bar code tattooed on the back of her neck. I didn’t know whether to be amused or concerned that this may be awaiting all of us in the future.
