Dr. Noakes is a PRIME EXAMPLE of that. Super-marathon runner...blew up in weight, diabetes, essentially had a death sentence like his father (who was killed by diabetes), but more in the Iranian time frame, rather than the US time frame (i.e., decades).

In fact, I have a feeling it’s one of the reasons that a lot of former NFL players are having problems.

Yes, concussions and the hits certainly may play a role, but I also believe part of it is the amount of carbs they eat during their careers, even though they appear to be healthy, that garbage is still wreaking havoc on the inside.
