Don’t be so sure of that. Watch some videos by Dr. Noakes, who’s run 75 marathons (and even longer races). His health took a dive, right into diabetes - which killed his father.
In any case, you’re certainly doing the right thing now!
There are issues with running marathons. It’s not healthy to do long-term.
Better to do, short, high-intensity workouts.
