I don’t know what a “Clif Blok” is, but I can bet they are way overpriced.
It depends what you call overpriced. I usually eat a pack of 6 on a hike and that package costs about a buck if you buy them on Amazon in a box of 18. I like them because they’re quick energy and you don’t have to worry about smashing them to crumbs in your pack like granola bars. It’s all about what you want to pay and what your priorities are. In Utah, I’m usually driving an hour or more to go hike because I like to hit new places. Considering what I’m paying in gas, what I’m eating for lunch and an energy boost is pretty negligible, not to mention survival gear in case my car takes a dump while I’m out of cell phone range.
