Reading an article about how the media pushes these mass shooters into it to seek fame. I also wonder how much of it is sort of contagious? (Monkey see - monkey do.)

And that the contagion is a fad - or changes. (Just like real ones- the flu, polio, mumps, etc.)

Back in the sixties it was assassinations. Then plane hijackings. Then serial killers. Now it is mass shooters. I guess the assassinations and hijackings are not as much now due to better security perhaps - but I can't recall the last time I read about a serial killer.
