FULL TITLE: 'My money, my choice': Comedian Dave Chappelle tells audience that if women have a right to 'kill' their babies, men can 'abandon 'em'

After getting what was apparently a largely pro-abortion crowd — especially the women in the audience — to cheer his recitation of pro-abortion talking points, Chappelle went for the roundhouse.

Because what's fair is fair.

"Ladies, to be fair to us, I also believe that if you decide to have the baby, a man should not have to pay. That is fair," he said, which received significant laughter from the men in the crowd.

"If you can kill this motherf*****, I can at least abandon 'em," Chappelle stated.

"It's my money, my choice," he added, ripping off the "my body, my choice" mantra of the pro-abortion movement, which earned him some groans and oohs from the audience.

Then he offered a line that just might have caused an everyday abortion supporter to pause:

"And if I'm wrong, then perhaps we're wrong. So, figure that s**t out for yourselves."

There’s been a lot of clucking and tsk, tsking about his Netflix special, but you’re correct, he gets away with it because he’s black.

Yes, David Chapelle specializes in using his role being black to make fun of all kinds of sterortypes. Here, he didn't just leave it at politically correct religious belief. He held it on high, ridiculed it when they didn't expect it. But he didn't stop there. If he left it as a comedic men's rights gag, he walks away as just being funny. He didn't. He left it with maybe the abortion lovers are wrong. That's going to leave a mark. A big one where breaking the politically correct logjam begins. Thank you David Chapelle! 🤤

Only a white guy not hiding behind some minority status infirmity.

A white guy pleading infirmity due to gayness or obesity or general weakness might pull it off. An amputee could pull it off.

The more visible or affected the "minority exemption," the easier it is to pull off such a stunt.

But a minority guy who had refused his "minority exemption" (like a Black soldier or just plain patriot)...he can't pull it off.

So it's not just the minority status of the person speaking, it's whether or not the person speaking is gutless enough to hide behind the momma's skirt tail of his "minority exception."

A Black quadruple amputee, burn victim who refused to be treated as a victim would cause just as much outrage. Perhaps even more for refusing to wallow in victimhood.

Anyway, awfully damn early to be gettin' so serious.;-)

if women have a right to 'kill' their babies, men can 'abandon 'em'

Using the modern lefties' logic, this makes perfect sense.

Actually, Dave Chappell has been taking a lot of heat from the "woke" crowd for his allegedly very "un-woke" Netflix special. I'm looking forward to watching it.

Best hour of comedy I’ve seen since Eddie Murphy Raw in the 80’s. Laughed out loud.

He’s far from a new red-pilled Trump supporter, but he’s funny (unusual for a comedian these days) and *very* un-PC.

This was the way comedy was before the PC culture took over.

The problem I see following the "It's my money, my choice,", is the leftist retort that then the government should pay.

It's also a faulty retort, but that's what ensues.

Abortion needs to be attacked not on who pays, but on the fact of it being murder of another DNA-unique pre-born human being.

Oh I’ve long advocated that. Choice should work both ways. A man should have the legal right to sign away all parental rights and be absolved of all parental responsibilities within a certain time period of being informed of the pregnancy. To be pro choice only for women but not for men is sexist.

Love his analogy.

If woman can not merely abandon their baby, and that is morally O.K., then how is it wrong for a man to not accept responsibility for a child that a woman says is his.

This goes directly to the radical twist that feminism has taken, which is not where feminism began.

When feminism began is was not pro-abortion, and it was in part a reaction to the irresponsibilty of too many men, when it came to supporting a woman who was carrying his child. Such behavior by men was, and still is, considered morally irresponsible, and besides many child welfare laws, and child labor laws feminism was responsible for laws meant to getting the man to fess up to his responsibilities.

But then the sexual revolution came along, and instead of NOT wanting women to behave like a morally irresponsible man, it started saying that women COULD behave just like the men that feminism started out attacking, and women too could have sex promiscuously and if preganncy ocurred just have an abortion - voila, problem solved.

Chapelle just brought that whole hypocrisy home.

He’d be run out of town on a rail if he did it today. I’ll have to watch the Chapelle video this weekend.

Thanks,

And if a man is to be expected to support a child, he should have the option of taking full custody of the child.

It used to be (before a 1972 Supreme Court decision) that states could make only married fathers be liable for child support. This acted as an inducement to get married before having children.
