Fair enough

But as a man you have to determine do you kill anyone just because the castle doctrine clears you

It wasn’t intended as a license to murder

“ oh look some hippies are picking mushrooms in my pasture 300 yards from my house ....I think I better get my .338 win mag out and kill a few ....I’ve got a nice bench rest on the porch...4x12 glass ....should be easy...after all they might try to hump a cow....you know hippies once they get tuned up on shrooms....better to play it safe”

Castle doctrine God love it

Prisons are full of persons that misinterpreted the Castle doctrine. A case in point: A guy in Florida tried to use Florida's Stand Your Ground Law after he killed by shooting another guy. It did take the Jury long to let him know it would not work.

I am not familiar with the Castle Doctrine. But all the Florida Stand Your Ground, for lack of a better word, says is if you are legally where you are, if attacked, you have no duty to retreat. The prisons of Florida are full of those who misinterpreted that. One cannot instigate the event then claim the protection of the law. I would the Castle Doctrine is something like that.

If you have it clearly posted as private property, this should be the default assumption of those trespassing. Around here you see a lot of signs posted that say “If you can read this sign you have already trespassed onto private property without permission and are right now in rifle range”.

If you go past this you are an idiot and deserve every bit of it.
