Anyone know how bad the hurricane may be? I have not checked the hurricane thread.

Prayers up for Bob Ireland in central FL and any other FReepers at risk from a visit from the hurricane:
“is expected to strengthen into a potentially catastrophic Category 4 with winds of 130 mph (209 kph) and slam into the U.S. on Monday somewhere between the Florida Keys and southern Georgia a 500-mile stretch that reflected the high degree of uncertainty this far”

Thanks. I think itll be relatively easy for us in Alva. Irma gave us 150 mph gusts here on the farm. But everyone panicked and bought all the gas today.
Ping Nautinurse if you want on the ping list and he will add you.
We are in Saint Marys, GA all the way in the southeast corner of the state. (1.2 miles from the FL line, 3 miles east of I-95, and 6 miles to the Atlantic) The highest natural point in the county is on Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay. You can't make this stuff up.

I have this radical notion that anyone building anything but a concrete dome in Florida is asking for a hurricane to flatten their home. They come in various sizes & prices.
