What a strange thread!
I dont think Ive seen a single thread in 6 years on FR that was approving of this Marxist pope.
Bizarre...
When he was first installed there were plenty.
Those of us who saw what was happening tried to warn the resident Catholics but we had nothing but insults and slander and accusations of *hater*, *anti-Catholic* hurled our way as we were given the drum beat of *He's been mistranslated, misquoted, misunderstood, misrepresented, mis(fill in the blank)...*
Now of course, FRoman Catholics are opposing him while we non-Catholics who still say we'll never submit to their pope are still slandered with the same pejoratives.
Of course, I never expected to hear a *You were right about him* from any Catholic* so I can't say I am disappointed. I didn't expect any less, or more.
I agree. I've been here more than 20 years and I never really saw very many religious threads. I think there's a section for them but that can be easily avoided by those who don't want to see them.
I hope nobody has decided to leave FR on account of my recent thread about how it sucks being stuck at red light and then it turns green as soon as you pick up your cell phone to check a message. I hate it when that happens. When you want a light to turn green, it never does but when you want it to stay red a little longer so that you can read a text, it turns green and the guy behind you beeps his horn if you don't move fast enough.
I just find that so frustrating.
“I dont think Ive seen a single thread in 6 years on FR that was approving of this Marxist pope.”
That is exactly correct. What’s more, I’m seeing fewer and fewer Catholic threads and those I do see have few comments.
I’m a Catholic, I don’t like this Pope, and I’m tired of arguing and talking about him.
However, I can recommend that Revelation David read The Great Heresies by Hilaire Belloc.
I would also like to remind him that neither he nor anyone can deny Christ to anyone who calls upon His name. That’s my hat tip to Ecumenism.
