It was not commissioned by anybody nor by the Vatican. Mark Balmat painted it and offered it to a number of museums and to the Vatican. It is called Pieta, not ‘Reconcile’.

The reconcile came from the anon who found the painting. JFK assignation and the Vatican. I am not there yet. Still digging.
