It's part of the devil;s quest for dominion and glory thru his proxy servants, working to create a world in which what God has ordained is perverted.
Rather than worshiping God, with Him being the supreme spiritual object of affection and allegiance source of security - as He should be as alone being perfect and omniscient and omnipotent who can thus never fail - then created beings become objects of worship.
Rather than only male and female being joined in marriage, and with that being the only context for sexual relationships, men are joined with men and women with women, outside of marriage or in a legal union.
Rather than blessing being realized by mercy and grace toward unworthy sinners, and thus motivating betterment, and with benefits being given in response to God-enabled and motivated obedience, men are seduced to lust for what they do not have, and believe that they are unjust victims of those who lawfully have benefits, and thus the "victims" are justified in taking them from those who validly possess them.
And rather than the one who is worshiped being benevolent, always giving, even to taking responsibility for what sinners have done and paying the price for their forgiveness and liberation from bondage, and rewarding those who positively respond, instead the Seducer, and ultimate murderer and thief, selfishly seeks to enslave all and destroy all who testify by goodness to the mercy and grace of the Creator and giver of life, and corrupt all that reflects His beauty and wisdom.
But whose end is sure:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
