These people who wanted to “exercise such political expression” were known as the RNC8, and had the support of a lot of DFL politicos, including Minnecraponus mayor RT Rybak. Widespread support for the RNC8 resulted in the end of a lot of friendships and business relationships, to the point of refusing to do business with Minnesota once I left that state.
