I work in a situation that puts me in close contact with folks from Yamhill and Marion counties. The area is quickly becoming 4 tiered.
1. Wealthy white former Californians and/or wealthy corporate farm families.
2. Shrinking middle class whites
3. Hispanic illegals/newly legal, coyotes labeled as “farm labor contractors” (they always pay in cash, hmmmmm.....I wonder why?)
4. Homeless whites that are drug addicts and or mentally ill.
#2 pays for everyone else. This is not sustainable and eventually will end badly.
That pretty much sums up most areas west of the Rockies. Davis-Hanson has been writing about this in California for two decades and it gets worse every hear.
