China announced Friday it will impose tariffs on $75 billion worth of U.S. goods, the latest salvo in the year-plus trade war between the world's two largest economies. The country's State Council said tariffs of 5 percent to 10 percent will be imposed on a variety of American goods in two batches, with the first going into effect next month and a second scheduled for December, multiple media outlets reported, citing state-run media. Other than soybeans, doesn’t China import, manufacture and export products back to the U.S. (made in China)?

OMG, what will this do to the cost of an iPhone?

Don’t care.

How’s the food supply going, China? Already running low on juicy pork and yummy soy, aren’t you?

You can’t eat iPhones...

U.S. exports are 12% of U.S. GDP. Exports from China are a bigger part of China’s GDP.

But that does not matter to China at the moment. Their audience - who they are singing their tariff song to - is the U.S. media, so that the U.S. media will turn around and blame Trump.

Can’t forget that the majority of that is within Nafta. With the exception of a few replaceable areas, they can’t hurt us for long.

“Can’t forget that the majority of that is within Nafta. “
