He wouldn't have gotten too far! The SR-71 stopped flying in 1998....at least as far as we know.

But the point is true.....he'd bowed down to them so fast it would have been embarrassing.

The SR 71 did a max take off demonstration at an airshow at Kirtland AFB, ABQ, NM, in 1984. I was a performer near the crowd line at show center, standing there with my mouth agape, as the afterburner exhaust diamonds burst out of the engines in precise spacings.
