It's something like thinking about a truly Christian ministry to alcoholics. By all means, invite AA to start a chapter in your parish and get your best preacher to preach on the well-founded hope of a new life based on spiritual rebirth in Christ.

Invite a "dry alcoholic" minister to do a targeted revival meeting and tell his recovery story, with all its ups-and-downs, scrapes and struggles, and its lessons of patience, trust and victory.

But don't invite them to come join you with the kind of indiscriminate affirmation that will only trap them deeper in their self-deception.

Thanks for enlightening me with more of the details. The page I saw did not appear to have any details... I’m not defending any policy by ANYBODY which promotes acceptance of the lifestyle.

Having said that, I’ll just have to breathe another in a long line of very heavy sighs, shake my head, and try to make sure my charitable contributions go in the right direction.

It’s getting to the point that any kind of contribution on my part can’t be made without stepping in something. I weep for the world my grandchildren will see. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
