Eff Websters and the others degrading the English language, it's "Buck Sexton and I", not whatever suits the lowest common denominator. This BS is everywhere now and IMHo it shows the writer is more concerned with being PC than with speaking and writing properly.
The nominative case is racist.
Solomon is right. It's "President Trump told me." That is proper. IF it the sentence was re-ordered, it would be "Buck Sexton and I told Trump..."
” it’s “Buck Sexton and I””
Not in this case. “Buck Sexton and me,” was correct.
The President = subject
told = verb
Buck Sexton = object
and = conjunction
me = object
“I” is a subject
“me” is an object
You would have it read “The President told I” which is never correct.
Boiling down the sentence to its core, the president told...I... is not correct. The president told...me... is correct. You are wrong, my friend.
