With such a large amount of drugs being seized how does it get destroyed? Down on the border, down Mexico way in SoCal, the law enforcement coordination had the DEA taking control over seized drugs. With the BP seizing large quantities of reefer, the LE 'deal' was stressed. DEA had no real interest in the big quantities of weed as it was a PITA to get rid of as the article indicates. Back in the day, the USFS LE and the sheriff's department where the seizure was located, used to do pit burns that I'm sure the hippies looked forward to getting downwind.
