Re: Ryan running in 2024
I won’t forget his dirty dealings; nor Romney’s; nor Rubio’s; nor any of those dirty rotten traitors to the Republican party - and my country.
1. A FReeper told me about (let slip?) a year ago that I could change "my preferences" so that I could view Free Republic pages with either 20 posts, 100 posts, or 250 posts at a time.
It took awhile to get used to viewing 100 posts per page, and I'd probably never have bumped it up to my current setting of 250 if I wasn't performing thread tasks. If you haven't tried those settings and are curious, try clicking on FRee Republic's "My Account" tab and then, as shown in the image below, choose "My Preferences."

Find on Page command
1. So let's say I want to find a specific post in a thread of around 1000 posts but I can't remember where it is. With my current setting of 250 posts per page, that means I need to search 4 pages.
I use a "find on page" command in my browser ( hold down the control key and tap the letter F key) to bring up a little box that I can type in a word or words to search the entire page. In my versions Explorer, Opera, and Mozilla, the search box is displayed in the upper left. upper left, and lower left respectively.
So I can type the word Kek in the search box and it will tell me if the word appears in the entire range of 250 posts on that page, how many times it appears, and then lets me click an arrow to skip through them one at a time. If I am searching many threads, I copy and paste the search term(s) into the "find on page" box for each page so I don't have to keep retyping it. (yeah, I'm lazy like that)
I realize that we all use different browsers, operating systems and versions of same but if you decide you want to use that tool, you can search the Internet to find the command that will work for you.
Interesting, got a source for that info?
The website went dark around 20 years ago. I haven’t been able to find the info again.
Bummer, thanks for the response.
The story actually reads: A NASA astronaut has been accused of committing the first crime in outer space after her estranged wife alleged she stole her identity...
Here is where I get exposed as an aged male chauvinist I suppose - [Former Air Force intelligence officer Summer Worden, from Kansas, has been involved in a bitter divorce with astronaut Anne McClain since 2018] - the simple truth is that there was a day, according to my understanding, when neither of these women would be involved in work requiring a security clearance. The reason should be obvious... at least it is to me. sigh
I used to run with 100, until FR experienced a massive performance problem and JR asked everyone to throttle back to 20. This was many years ago, and the crisis has obviously passed. I'll try a higher number again.
Dude! I think you have them mixed up. Before halfdonkey, totally!
>>neither of these women would be involved in work requiring a security clearance
And that DID make sense when they were in the closet and could be blackmailed. But now that the closet doors are opened and there’s no security danger, there’s no reason to worry.
I know nothing about this topic, in every way. Any explanations or light shed by others is appreciated.
Societal normalization of homosexuality has not changed the reality that homosexual behavior is unhealthy, abnormal and immoral.

And the fact that elections up until now have been rotten to the core, so winning doesn’t matter, just “winning” wink wink.
Funny...
I dont share the few brain cells I have. I cant spare them.
Best,

Very intersting, thanks. I do remember Patsy Schroder retiring.
Bradley (Chelsea) Manning.
Her excuse for opening her ex-’s account was that she wanted to check that there was enough money in the account
FOR THEIR SON’S BENEFIT...
So Elton John is not dead?

in case you missed it..
I’d love to know what Pat Shroeder did to get a yellow envelope...
