Nonsense. I live off of exit 8 and drive I 95 north and south. It’s not that bad.
Try I 95 through VA, MD, NJ, NY and Ct and get back to me.
“Try I 95 through VA, MD, NJ, NY and Ct and get back to me.”
I wouldn’t wish that on that on anybody!
But I drove down to Florida late last spring and South Carolina was fine. Coming back though Georgia the entire state, had no Northbound rest stops opened. None. I don’t know what was going on but I had to pull off on the shoulder a couple of times
Yeah. I have no idea of the situation, but this article except was mainly rhetoric.
Been there, done that. I-95 in western Connecticut on a summer Saturday is a friggin’ parkiung lot.
Pinging the usual suspects to the article, also.
Just did it and there’s no comparison. That drive sucked.
The only sucky part of going 95 South for me is Northern Virginia. NY, NJ and CT is Northern Va on roids.

Agree. I drive through central PA rather than take 95 south through NY/NJ/PA/DE/MD. That stretch is just brutal. SC is a breeze compared to that.
Agreed....I’ve traveled from HHI to JAX several times recently....never noticed much of a difference.
Apparently, Florida has VERY different rules for interstate driving that the rest of the country -- 45 mph in the lefthand lane? No problem. I'm driving 65 mph in the center lane and you want to pass on the left? Oh well, by all means, let me speed up so you can't pass. Here, I'm going to speed up to pass you, then pull in front of you and slow back down to the speed I want to go, which is slower that YOU want to go.
I was hoping you would chime in on this thread. :-)

Amen to that! I-95 in the northeast an absolute horror.
