Years ago, Missourians found out a portion of the gasoline tax was being siphoned off for education.
To resolve the situation, we had a statewide-vote and amended our state constitution to stop gas taxes being used for other than transportation spending. The wailing from the NEA was deafening.
Now we just have to fend off the bicycle-riders.
