I do my own maintenance ,, my Camry is now 17 years old and I haven’t spent half that over it’s lifetime.... and most of that can be attributed to tires and batteries.

Yes that is a rediculous calculation. Also only a moron pays retail MSRP which the Toyota calculation is based on. Take another 8 - 10% off. The Model 3 price is non negotiable. And the Elephant in the room is if you need warranty / crash repairs you not going to see your model 3 again for many weeks / months in most cases. Yes the Model 3 is the nicer of the two cars if you can get past one the least attractive front ends in recent memory.
