A Texas girl sitting in her home was killed Wednesday when an amateur rapper who felt disrespected by a rival’s lyrics allegedly opened fire and targeted the wrong apartment, say police.
Brandoniya Bennett, 9, was on her couch after getting her nails done in preparation for the first day of school when shots rang out in the Roseland Townhomes in Dallas.
A man later identified as Tyrese Simmons, 19, had gone to the apartment complex to confront an apparent rival, and allegedly shot at the wrong home, the Dallas Police Department says in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

Nah, just mandatory comprehensive background checks, mandatory Rap Record Handling Training, mandatory $ ten million liability insurance policy, mandatory secure storage of Rap Recordings at a police station when not in use for the purchasers of Rap Equipment, and a complete ban of all fully automatic or semi automatic Rap Disc reloaders and all high capacity Rap Disc magazines for DJ's that play Rap Music.
However, to show good faith, all silencers would be allowed, even recommended.
I'm SURE this common sense Rap Control legislation would solve the problem immediately.
Which fully justifies taking firearms away from millions who have never committed a crime with a gun. Yeah, that makes sense.

It was rap that did it.

Note to self: When shooting enemies, check to see if you have right house. Innocent people might get hurt or killed.
It’s generally better to get shot, and ideally killed, for wrappers trying to advance their career.
This is a different approach to career enhancement - taking out a 9 year old girl, so that he can do a decent amount of time behind bars and get his creds that way.
I have to admit, it’s a clever approach, and it just may work for him. Time will tell!
I have no real idea how accurate that is but in another discussion today one poster said that number includes suicides which are close to half the total.
I think suicides are increasing at a rapid pace too. At least in my circle I know they are. In this area there has always been about one suicide per decade and in the last two years that rate is growing faster every year. Suicides around here seem to be about once a month. My head is spinning about that.
It is just getting crazy out there in more than one direction.
