This is not so simple. She wanted to go to sitting member of Congress, congressional members have oversight on the spending of US taxpayer money. The move to block her and her colleague however vile they are with boneheaded, and lasted less than 24 hours. Giving her a mercy visit to visit her grandmother is one that I think anyone is her position would refuse. The precedent set here, means it and some future date a Trump supporter, a member of Congress, could be banned, and a Democrat president could say Great. The whole thing stinks, and the unforced error hurts both Israel and Trump.

Way too complicated. The theme here is that enemies of Israel are banned. A Trump supporter who is an enemy of Israel and opposes the very existence of the Jewish state *should* be banned. The relevant Israeli law allows the state to exclude Israel’s enemies. There is no provision in the law for excluding Israel’s friends.
