The city of Chicago is being stung by a thriving, five-fingered threat: pickpockets.
...pickpocketing cases have increased 20% the past three years.
Restaurants this year have become a popular place for pocket-pickers. So far in 2019 there have been more than 100 pickpocketing incidents in restaurants.

As the expressways extend through the area, the plague follows.
I got picked by a pack of 8-10 year old gypsy kids in Paris 20 years ago. Got bum rushed in the subway and they got my cigs and some money out of a coat pocket. I didnt realize it until they were around the corner and gone.

There was a major uptick in pickpocketing and phone snatching at this year’s Lollapalooza, and all over Chicago in general. Just the other day women were warned about hanging their purses over the backs of chairs while dining in a restaurant. And “flyer boys” engage diners in sidewalk cafés, then snatch their phones and other easy-to-reach valuables. Many judges have stopped setting sensible bail requirements, releasing even habitual criminals on their own recognizance or with ridiculously low bail requirements. And the State’s Attorney, Kim “Crimesha” Foxx (remember her from the Jussie Smollett farce?) has stated her intention to stop charging many minority perps. And that’s exactly what she’s doing. Chicago is becoming a criminal’s paradise.
