This is like something out of a Carl Hiaasen novel. Except it’s not set in FL.
Maybe he’s hoping he is diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma so he can get the money from Bayer or Monsanto...
The best thing about College Football coming back.

What he really should do is wear an ankle bracelet and help the city or University plant lots of trees and do various other yard work.
The exercise would probably do him some good
thousands of trees that gave their lives to make the toilet paper used on the tree.
Yes, and they were planted for TP.
The oaks were planted for victory celebrations.
Would a few weekends in the Tuscaloosa City Jail help loose his wallet...?
“You want his liver?”
Are you bringing the chianti and fava beans???
I suspect alcohol plays a major role in his life.
Are you surprised?
This dude has an interesting life. His father a Texas State Trooper
was killed when he was three. His wife moved them to FL. He later
became a TX State Trooper retired and moved to AL. He convinced
his first wife to let him name their first child Bear Bryant Updyke.
When it was a girl, they named her Crimson Tyde. Their next child
was a boy and, sure enough, his name was Bear.

It hurts kids when parents give them weird names. They should have normal names, like my kids, Harry, Ron and Hermione.
Why hasn’t he had the crap kicked out of him yet? Why did he only spend 70 days in jail? Why hasn’t a judge thrown him back in jail for not meeting the conditions of his parole?
WAR DAMN EAGLE!
Need to offset that with the saving on unemployment, food stamps, and other social programs this loser is likely sucking up. If I were a judge, I would have fined him another $10,000 for just wearing that stupid elephant hat.
Actually, I just read the guy’s mini-bio. He’s not half the loser that I thought he was but he’s still a loser. As a retired Texas state patrolman, the court should garner a large part of his pension payments until the debt is paid.
There's also a pretty good 30 on 30 about the rivalry, here is the intro: here
On the other hand, the payments are essentially unobtainable for him.
Yeah it was atrocious what he did, but the fine is so over the top as to essentially end his financial future, and thereby completely disincentivize his getting past it.
Frankly, it’s a big part of the difference between the Code of Hammurabi with its x10 to 60 punishments, and that found in places like Exodus, with its x2 to 7 punishments. There is punishment, and it hurts out of proportion to the gain from the crime, but there is recovery and redemption possible.
I appreciate the “jest”....funny how, in a world where human life has become so cheap, people still get their backs up over puppies and trees...
