As a nursery and greenhouse grower, I bought hundreds of Mantid
Chrysalis and distributed them thru the GHs and Nursery, instead of using chemicals. Hundreds hatch from each Chrysalis, and they stayed on my 20ac for many years, generation after generation.

As a youngster in Queens, NY I found one of those. I knew it was some kind of bug nursery but didn’t know what. Threw it on a small pile of rocks where it sat for the winter. Next spring Dad was in the back yard and called me out. Hundreds of little squirmy things were wriggling out. After a bit we saw they were mantis.
