Yeah, there's a push to put technology in places it doesn't belong.

I never had OnStar or any of those things on my vehicle. At some point, someone will figure out they can disable the vehicle if you're behind on payments.

During the last Google outage, a lot of people who had gone to "smart locks" couldn't get into their houses.

Agree. There are a few very useful applications for IoT technology. The rest are useless at best, and harmful to your health and privacy at worst.
