Not really. Considering that their 'Jewishness' was not mentioned by ANYBODY and is beside the point. The fact that they are powerful people is the point.

I sometimes encounter this.

"These perps are all Jewish. It looks bad. Can't you see you're SUPPOSED to ignore all this, make it all go away..?"

It's an argument totally outside logic. Not illogic, mind you, just not an argument based on logic, not an argument at all.

It represents tribal thinking operating within a corporate meritocracy of residual openness. It is identity politics. It is not the essence of Western Civ.

We encounter this a lot at Universities, an audience member asks the speaker during question time. The "question" begins thusly:

"As a Native-American homosexual I strongly that (insert what is usually a bunch of disjointed palaver here)."

By calling attention to the very weighty matter of their group identity, the question poser makes an attempt to shut you down.
