Pan Am closed in the early 1990s. That’s where my memories are. Maybe a TWA/PanAm hotel could fetch more visitors. Those PanAm memories for some older than I include clipper service on big old sea planes that included sleeping facilities. Sleep-inducing engine sounds and gentle jostling were part of that experience, which easily could be re-created. (I don’t think TWA had that, least ways not that I saw).
My grandfather worked many years for Pan Am in hanger 5 at MIA.
After they went out of business I got a job at the airport and my dad pointed out I was working in the same hanger. It gave me a new perspective.
