Americus Police Department says they’ve interviewed Brandi Yakeima Lasiter, the woman who made the viral video stating that she may have given HIV to multiple partners.
In a news release, APD says detectives interviewed Lasiter on August 6. Lasiter now says that she does not have the HIV virus and that she made the video because she was angry at the people she named.
She provided documentation of a blood test from September 2018 that showed she was not HIV positive. Lasiter has voluntarily submitted to a blood test to verify her status of not being infected with HIV.
The results of this test will determine what, if any, charges she may be facing in this incident.

I had a couple friends die of AIDS before it was even identified as ‘the gay plague’, let alone AIDS or HIV.
Thank God I’m straight!
I remember when it was called “gay cancer”. This would have been about the time Nixon/Ford then Carter was president. They knew gay men, and mostly men were dying but not what of. It looked like a cancer but could not identify it.
Am wondering how you knew your friends died of this if they had not idenified it yet?

I put two and two together.
They kept getting sicker and sicker and doctors had no idea what was going on with them.
I worked one mile from LAX with one of them, Patient Zero of the current AIDS epidemic was a male flight attendant Hell bent on spreading his mystery ailment.
The other I knew from my church in Hollywood, I don’t think the chain of contagion from Gaetan Dugas at LAX to Santa Monica Blvd is very long.
One gay bar away, pretty much.
I had a friend who had been a doctor during the Viet Nam war and he had gone into research after he got back. About the same time I met him, the news was full of Magic Johnson and his AIDS, and of course, the speculation was that he got it from one of the many women he took to bed.
My friend told me at that time that it was almost impossible to get AIDS from a female, but a man could GIVE it to a female. I’ve never forgotten that, and almost burst out laughing when I read the headline on this thread.

It’s pretty rare, but repeated acts with varied orifices and possibly some small skin tears on the male or even gum fissures or some kind.

Wow, you knew Dugas? That’s freaky. I’ve read “And The Band Played On” by Randy Shilts, who also died of AIDS. He told a sordid tale of Dugas’ behavior.
I don’t remember if ‘GRID’ preceded ‘Gay Plague’ or vice versa. I do remember hearing of several former classmates and others I sorta peripherally knew dying of “blood disorders”.
Seems a waste of time to cleanse the gene pool of people who aren’t in the gene pool in the first place. Still, the body politic needed cleansing...

I didn’t hang out with that crowd, just had a co-worker and a fellow parishioner association, respectively.

A friend of mine had this tape back in the day. One of the tracks I remember best from it is this one.
I heard them singing it but don’t know where they got it maybe it was that!
So they won’t charge this wacko with the crime if she tests negative. She should probably serve the same amount of time for what she did, though. While HIV is not a death sentence for most people anymore, it is still a significant problem, resulting in a lifetime of expensive medications and maybe a change in lifestyle as well. Nobody needs to be falsely scared by such a prospect.

It could be it was from that song in particular or someone else came up with the same idea as well. The rest of that album I wouldn’t dare post here. I will just sum it up as a poor man’s Two Live Crew. ;)
