If President Trump wanted to stir the pot (and he does, with great glee), he'd call for a total ban on guns in movies and on TV.

If I did not know the plot, I would assume that Conservatives were hunting Leftists.
All the ones being hunted are White people from MAGA country. Also, these days, all the “Elites” are rich liberals.
If the Elites were conservative, you can be sure that at least SOME (if not all) of the hunted would be minorities from the inner city.
I guess we will see for sure when the movie comes out.

TV and movies are far, far more violent now than before the ratings system.
The idea for this film comes from a murky intersection between real history and conspiracy theory:
The Rothchilds used to be an uber-wealthy banking family, had real-estate all over, still have some.
Their properties included a really yuge hunting lodge in Austria, finally sold just 20 year ago or so. It had expansive hunting grounds, all around. Super big-shots went there to hunt.
99% of the hunting there was unremarkable, but THEY SAY a that The Game was, uh....MORE CHALLENGING, a few times, if you catch my drift.
Cuz super big money and ultra treachery, contempt for da slobbering peasantz. Maybe an old true Dick Cheney-type story from back in the day, then upgraded.

They just re-arranged a few details in the narrative, then started filming.
Basically they took their own sins and grafted them onto the faces of those whom they hate.
Actually Micheal Dudikoff back in the UA heydays (80’s) did this exact movie, but it was only him being hunted.
