They can pass some passive mental health legislation not directly related to firearms. The fact that the Florida school shooter got 34 visits from the cops should tell them that certain threats need action. But yes, if Trump signs another AWB he is finished. But also, Trump has a way of saying he will listen... listens and then ignores them.
