On the same weekend were 29 people were killed in two separate mass shootings in Texas and Ohio, the city of Chicago is reeling after 25 people were shot in several incidents over a four-hour span early Sunday morning.
The first shooting, which took place at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, sent a total of seven people to local hospitals. (snip)
During the shooting, an unknown gunman in a black Camaro drove by a group of people congregating near a playground in the citys Douglas Park neighborhood and opened fire. Several people in the group returned fire at the car, which fled the scene.
Police believe that nearly 75 shots were fired during the incident, with at least four or five people firing weapons.
Just over an hour later, two more victims were shot in the 1200 block of South Troy, (snip)
At approximately 3:45 a.m., eight more people were shot in the 4200 block of West 18th in Chicagos Lawndale neighborhood. A 33-year-old man, identified by family members as Demetrius Flowers,(snip)
Flowers was described as a family man, a father of three who was on his way home from a new job when he stopped to visit with friends in the Lawndale neighborhood, according to relatives. Thats when shots rang out, striking him in the chest.(snip)
Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson is directing more patrols to take place in the area to quell the surge in violence.

BUT THERE ARE 40 YEAR OLD CHILDREN SITTING IN THEIR OWN FECES ON THE BORDER. C’MON, MAN!
You don’t want to use the toilets if that’s your only source of drinking water. Better to sit in your own feces. You would think these kids would be potty trained after 40 years.
How can the cops explain this period of relative peacefulness?
From Wikipedia: “Douglas Park is a large Chicago Park District park that serves as a cultural and community center on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois.”
How true it is!
If only there was a law against murder... ...or if liberals actually believed that black lives matter.
Conservative white supremacists run amok, no doubt.
No one cares. Unable to be used for politics.
I get that. Felt the same way about Detroit for a long time.
Forget it Jake, it’s ChiCongo Town.

What’s the definition of “mass shooting” again?
I’m rather an old girl, was talking about Chicago in the 50s, early 60s.
I had a high school roommate from Detroit, visited when it was quite a delightful place.
It is sad. Most large American cities have been ruled by Democrats for decades, but at least there was a point in the first half of the 20th Century when the bosses kept the ferals in check. Now the ferals *are* the government, but they’re too incompetent, greedy, and corrupt to rule themselves.
It’s just a weekend tradition.
That’s not going to happen in the city the Community Organizer organized. Here’s some stats though.

Great analysis. I grew up there when Richard J Daley was mayor. While a teenage intern with United Press, I attended Dem National Convention ..Lots of powerful people in my life and most certainly at the convention. But one afternoon, the earth literally shook and a bright light seemed to precede a man coming down the hall. Richard J. Daley. More powerful than anyone on earth since the Roman Emperors. IMO of course. He did swing the election to Kennedy..
And he most assuredly would NOT have allowed the city to deteriorate and become crime central.
