It was a pretty good movie, but the final scene where half the buildings in downtown get knocked down made it decidedly out of step after 911, and it pretty much disappeared.
Indeed and if anything, I thought the timing of the film’s release literally the weekend following Columbine and just a few years short of 9/11 was quite prophetic.
Both Columbine and 9/11 profoundly affected our societal psyche and the unfolding cultural crises about to ensue.

The buildings were empty anyway. Operation Chaos saw to that.
