The dog had me pinned to the ground and was ready to tear me up. The dog had a bad reputation. My brother came out of the house and hit him with a bat. He never messed with us again. I remember thinking that I wished I had a gun at the time. The cop panicked obviously. Maybe one of the rounds ricocheted off the sidewalk. Who knows? There’s always two sides to a story.
