Money has intrinsic value (gold and silver, etc). Currency only has a representation of value. Almost all transactions are executed in currency.

One of the most concentrated stores of value is fentanyl or even higher sufentanyl. Thousands and thousands of doses per unit. Let’s face it US federal government is addicted to the drug trade and has to be storing some of the confiscated drugs for resale or exchange.
