The actress Tippi Hedron encouraged South Vietnamese to go into the nail salon business and I believe they still dominate the industry.

Asians, whatever else they may be, are hard-working, industrious, and oddly, expect to be paid for their services. They are willing to take the risks involved in operating a business in a ‘diverse’ neighborhood, but they still expect to be paid. To some of their clientele, this practice of paying for service or food or stuff is considered optional. Thus conflicts arise.
