I made a thread that tied to this concept of a devastating asteroid impact and the survival of the human race. The keys to surviving an asteroid strike, as a species, are 1. massive technological advancement fueled by economic expansion and population expansion, and 2. Colonizing structures/planets other than earth.
I don’t know anything about the movement of such objects, but is 20 times as far away as the moon really that close?
If it hits Baltimore, it will cause millions of dollars worth of improvements.
