No mention of how the gator got to be in Michigan>Probably the same way the one got into the Humboldt Park Lagoon in Chicago - someone's discarded pet (although a 6-footer seems a bit large for that).

When I lived there a gator wandered into some guy's yard in Midland. His dog killed it. Always wanted to get a look at that dog.
