One guy started organizing it. The others are joining. Sorry don’t remember his name but will BOLO and ping you to it. There is actually one guy there now cleaning the area featured in the film and a HUGE project being organized for first week in August.
Iirc the after the fires some young contractors were going to open a trade school using the old houses as projects for the students. The city nixed their idea by refusing to sell/give them any property.
DR Ben and Ivanka’s program could do the same now. Tear down the really bad blocks and rehab the others. The area needs grocery and shops within walking distance!
According to dr Ben much lead paint in the older buildings (He lived there for 30+ years. Iirc one of his children still does) He explained how St. Louis did a gigantic turn around that could be used as a model.
