Not by anyone who didn’t have need for confirmational bias that Trump couldn’t last...
There were only 2 people on the GOP stage during the 2016 primary debates that had ANY presence at all.. the X factor if you will... Trump and Christie.
Trump’s presence was so large, that even though the press did EVERYTHING they could to diminish it.. .bad mic, bad angles, etc etc etc... Anyone who watched those debates and understood where a lot of the country outside the coastal left wing enclaves was, knew Trump was going nowhere.
