where kids boil water to 212 degrees


Are there other temperatures one can boil water to? (Yes, I know about altitude and pressure cookers). Used to be a writer could safely assume his audience understood water boils at 212ºF. Perhaps no more.

Well they don’t know boiling water burns so they don’t know much

This is a weird enough coincidence that I will say it here. Last week in bible study we got, somehow, to talking about the “scientific laws of the universe”. And the temp of boiling water was our example. And I said, well, when the French Revolution came they wanted so much to throw out EVERYTHING that had gone before, they even invented the Metric System of measurement.

But of course, the water is just as hot.
