I have a former colleague whose parents engaged in something like this so that she and her brother could attend an elite university.
I had a (white) friend in high school whose family had immigrated from South Africa ... naturally he always checked the “african american” box and always got gov’t freebies and preferential treatment .. I have no problem with abusing the system while staying within the rules,, abuse it enough and it will be “reformed”...
