I'd be curious what the 'official' explanation of the church is for that symbol.

That pedo symbol, to my eyes, has a Celtic scrollwork quality to it . . . but is not Celtic scrollwork. It also has a vague resemblance to symbols of the Trinity . . . but is not a symbol of the Trinity. I have no idea why it is on a vestment worn by the pope.

There's been loads of weird stuff sewn onto vestments since the '60s but this is the first to my knowledge to resemble something from an FBI document on pedophile groups.

It is significant in and of itself but especially since the pope's recent tweet on trafficking.

I'm not a huge fan of Francis but I doubt this is something he commissioned. It's weird and is worth remembering as crimes here and abroad are exposed.

I liked your response to Francis’ vestments.

We know some of our heroes are implicated in the fight between good and evil. We must be calm and discerning.

For example, Drudge posted this:

https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/07/ronald-reagans-racist-conversation-richard-nixon/595102/

I looked at it and it caused me disappointment, if true. But I also know stuff can be doctored. So it may not be true. I’m waiting for more information.

I’m waiting for more information about Francis, and other church leaders too. I don’t want hints; I want proof.

At the least, Francis is a dolt for allowing himself to be dressed in stuff he didn’t choose, when he knows, for sure, that the faithful are examining every little thing he does. He should be vigilant about causing scandal. While I’m waiting for proof he’s something worse than a dolt, I’m giving him the stink eye...

...and saying prayers for the Church.
