I saw a knock-down beautiful girl from high school (50 yrs ago) a while back. She only dated the top football stud at the time (got divorced). I wouldn’t say she is ugly or worse than average now, but certainly no better. Whereas really nice-looking women are interested in dating me now.

Women in their 20's have their pick of guys, since all the older guys want to date them too.
When they arrive at 50, the guys their own age who they would consider desirable, are busy dating younger women.
I have worked with numerous women in my job and became good friends with a few. Most end up like Kelly but I know a couple who are in their early 60’s who are very good looking women. One will sport and rocks a bikini around her own pool. These two are the exception to the rule.
