Roughly 32-33% of the people in this world are Christians the other two thirds are not. The use of the CE (Common Era) goes back to Rome and is quite old. BCE was added later and was in common usage in Jewish literature. BC and AD came into common usage around the year 731. But again it only applies to one third of the worlds population. However, other idiots who use BCE and CE to be politically correct fall into the same category as you. Taking shit out of historical context to sound intellectual.
As you said BC/AD has been common usage for over a millennium. As I said the ONLY reason to now change it is to LIE about the Christian basis of Western Civilization.
