Cindy Orozco didnt expect to be punched in the head by a delivery worker when she arrived at her job at Good Pizza in Los Angeles last March.
The blow came from an enraged food delivery worker who stormed into the tiny pizzeria demanding, Wheres my fing order?
When she told him it wasnt ready, he threw the contents of a tip jar across the small Playa Del Ray eatery, according to interviews and surveillance video footage obtained by The Post.
Things escalated when Orozco and the courier who was sent to Good Pizza by food delivery giant DoorDash got into a physical confrontation. The courier fled without the order.

That’s why Ubereats is growing, the driver doesn’t get hurt because of actions of the restaurant.
We used to have delivery service here on the NE side of Indianapolis that could almost double your bill and the food was usually cold when it got here. Hence the term ‘used to have’
Will normally increase productivity, now delivery company just needs to learn to not hire drivers on meth!
I’ll get my own at those costs.
The restaurant isn’t penalized one cent. The drivers get their schedules all screwed up.
Nope, just another case of the little guy getting the $hit end of the stick.
She pushed him first and then when he turned back at her she smacked him. Seems she got as good as she gave.
Uber eats and door dash are just adding another layer of untrained, irresponsible people who can spit in your food.
Maybe it’s because I live in Los Angeles where EVERY food delivery person just arrived here ...documented or not. And some times the meal is partially eaten.
If I can’t go pick up my own dinner, I don’t order. For a BIG reason.l
ROTFLMAO. The restaurant doesn’t work for the delivery dude.
so that justifies hitting another worker?
John Podesta says, "Shut up and take my money!"
It was... "rational"... to punch a girl in the head... because food wasn't ready exactly when they wanted it to be. HE ran into the store, HE threw the tip jar, and HE punched the girl (twice) because she was yelling at him for being an ass.
Are you seriously that deranged?
“She pushed him first and then when he turned back at her she smacked him. Seems she got as good as she gave.”
Fake news.
“The driver was rational as has been pointed out.”
You are not rational!
Like I said not the hitting, but the restaurant is liable for the delay. I assure you, the the order is delayed because of the restaurant, and the driver is compensated, the driver’s would give a flip.
One family had the order delivered with it partially eaten, teeth marks on the ribs.
Don’t mess with an Italian pizza worker. Ever.
You are clinically insane.
This would appear to be a clear conflict of interest. The driver is motivated to minimize his time involved in each delivery. The food supplier is motivated to load his staff with orders to maintain productivity and this can result in delays due to having too many orders at one time.
When I worked for a Chinese kitchen years ago I was paid by the kitchen and by the hour. Extra deliveries meant extra tips, so I was especially motivated to move quickly in making a delivery so that I could quickly return to the restaurant to be assigned another delivery.
One solution here might be for individual drivers and/or the driver's employer to measure the typical delays and charge slightly more for food establishments that keep drivers waiting. Pass along the extra charges to the customer and the extra income to the drivers.
