Thanks. I discovered Joseph Blanchard a few years ago - I don’t recall where (not in a class).
He plays in the hospital where my husband has his appointments, and I thought I’d see him today to tell him about the newest video but, alas, some ordinary pianist who sounded like he played in a department store.
Joe is really the kindest man. And he can’t read music at all. He just REMEMBERS what he’s composed. Though it changes a lot, too, over time. I tried to convince him to record himself so he wouldn’t lose his wanderings.
Oh, and he did record a new set for a new CD, but he’s such a perfectionist he can’t bring himself to finalize it. I recorded some of his new pieces at the hospital, and they’re wonderful.
